Six of us walked from Kallang Mrt, down the route for 1/2 hr run, up to thousand metre mark, passed DuckTours launching point, walked walked walked down dark alleys surrounded with trees on one side and sea water on the other, walked on, and Finally reached Marina Promenade. teamed up with ter&junleong(?) together with 3 other people and were under Fauzi. which ter kept calling Lousy Fausi. one of the guys looked extremely familiar, and while waiting, he was rowing. which uh, proved my point but i dared not talk to him. haha. all of us were deposited at Ford Road. with the others, unloaded the bicycles, which were like.. 90+. afterwards, made to wear this SAFRA vest and carry a lightstick to point directions to the checkpoint ahead. wasnt that bad, accompanied by messages from dor, ter and aaron. Woohoo, the commandoes were super fit and uh, hunky. Hmm mmm. (: the racers were generally friendly people! some smiled, said hello thankyou goodmorning!, asked if i was bored and whether i was doing parttime, this particular commando gave the twist sign, another said cannot use phone! (Which is part of their rules®ulations), this woman gave me a banana! haha. oh yeah, saw cj pe teacher ms lim and dominique too! :D after they ran past and back, sat down with the others and had pretzel and vanilla hellopanda. followed by manymanymany trips of loading bicycles onto the van and unloading them again at promenade. in between, tried to sleep which was successsful once but wasnt the next cus it was attempting to drizzle and the mosquitoes kept pecking on my legs. Growl. after the upteen trips up and down, finally transported all the bicycles back. by 4plus, quite a number of groups completed it alr. the 1st and 2nd group was said to have completed it at ard 2plus?! omg. met des and the rest! went for a little run down esplanade with her.. and later helped this uncle to buy breakfast. he drove all the way to Geylang Serai for some goreng thingy and 6 boxes of 20 nuggets. but no nuggets at 5am in the morning, so we got 48 hashbrowns. $1.45 a piece is really, exhorbitant. realised we could have gotten the $1 a piece apple pie instead. drove back, packed up, cabbed down.
